Threads and short turned features
Call out thread standards, run-outs and permitted edge breaks. A decorative edge and a mating thread shoulder need different acceptance criteria.

Metal / CNC MATERIALS
Turned and milled brass components, with the alloy, lead-content requirements and finish defined for your order.
CNC milling & turning · Drawing-based orders

A free-cutting brass, a lead-free formulation and a corrosion-specified brass are separate purchasing decisions. The published graphite-insert bushing project uses ZCuZn25Al6Fe3Mn3 high-strength brass. That case does not establish the availability of C360 or CW614N stock for a new order.
01 / MATERIAL SPECIFICATION
Match the full designation on your drawing. Frequent machining experience, published project evidence and specifications for review are shown separately.
| Grade / designation | Experience | Include with your drawing | Inquiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| C360 | Specify for review | C360: retain the exact alloy specification and any lead-content restrictions imposed on the finished part. | Quote grade ↗ |
| C260 | Specify for review | C260: state the supplied temper and whether the part includes formed features as well as machining. | Quote grade ↗ |
| C464 | Specify for review | C464: include the corrosion-related material specification and required stock documentation. | Quote grade ↗ |
| CW614N | Specify for review | CW614N: preserve the EN designation and product standard; do not silently substitute a US alloy number. | Quote grade ↗ |
| Lead-free brass | Specify for review | Lead-free brass: identify the actual alloy or manufacturer grade and the applicable acceptance requirement. | Quote grade ↗ |
OUJI machining experience: confirmed by the company owner, 10 September 2026. Family-level experience does not establish a specific grade, stock condition or customer end use; see individual row and case evidence.
Listed grades do not imply current inventory. Material condition, stock form and documentation are agreed with the quotation.
02 / MACHINING REQUIREMENTS
Focus on the details that change material purchasing, the machining route and finished-part acceptance.
Call out thread standards, run-outs and permitted edge breaks. A decorative edge and a mating thread shoulder need different acceptance criteria.
When the part includes an insert, supply the insert material, interface dimensions and retention requirement. The published graphite-insert case can be reviewed for its actual operation sequence.
Identify visible faces and areas to mask before plating. Define final dimensions on fitted bores instead of treating an uncoated measurement as the delivered size.
Specifying connector bodies, sleeves or contacts for fiber optic equipment? Review concentric features, bores and plating allowances in our photonics mechanical parts guide.
03 / PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Read the actual machining route and evidence for each project. Requirements and individual inspection results retain their original scope.

The published case identifies ZCuZn25Al6Fe3Mn3 high-strength brass. It documents the described machining and graphite-insert work; the alloy for a new order must still be specified independently.
It is not a complete grade designation. Include the exact alloy and the rule or threshold your product must satisfy, plus the evidence required from the material supplier.
DRAWING TO QUOTATION
Send the drawing and quantity. We’ll review the material, machining route, finish and inspection requirements together.
Response within 24 hours of receiving complete project details.
Details already in your drawing do not need to be repeated. If a material is undecided, tell us what the part needs to do.
