7075-T6 planet carriers.
A 3,300-part order.

This 7075-T6 planet carrier combines a front hole ring, rear pocket and rotational interfaces. OUJI used soft-jaw turning and a dedicated 12-position milling fixture, then checked datum-related features on a ZEISS CMM.

Critical features we review with your drawing

Critical featureWhat the drawing needs to defineHow it is reviewed

Bearing & shaft fits

Diameter limits, fit designation and final surface condition.

Confirm the limits, inspection method and any coating allowance before machining.

Hole patterns & datums

Pin holes, mounting patterns and their datum references.

Locate the part and check feature positions from the drawing datums.

Coaxial & mating features

Relationships between bores, registers and opposite faces.

Plan setup transfers and check the required relationships after machining.

Finish & final acceptance

Burrs, surface finish, masking and inspection documents.

Agree the finished condition, inspection records and checks after specialist processing.

04 / HOW TO ORDER

Send the drawing. We review the details.

  1. 01

    Confirm the drawing

Agree the revision, material, quantity, critical fits and delivery date. Resolve drawing questions before production.

  2. 02

    Machine & inspect

Set the operation sequence, workholding and inspection points for the part and order size.

  3. 03

    Release & record

Check the finished parts and agreed documents before dispatch. Retain the production record and confirm revisions for repeat orders.

05 / BEFORE YOU SEND A DRAWING

Robotics machining FAQs.

What should I send for a robotics part quotation?

Send a STEP model and 2D drawing, plus your quantity and required delivery date. Add material, finish and critical requirements if they are not already in the files. No drawing yet? A part description is enough to start the discussion.

Can I order one sample before a production batch?

Yes. CNC milling and turning samples start from 1 piece. Include the expected batch quantity so we can quote both stages. Swiss-type and micro machining follow their own sample-order conditions.

When will I hear back about my quotation request?

We respond within 1 day. If the files need clarification, our reply will identify the missing details. The final price and delivery schedule follow confirmation of the drawing, material, process and inspection requirements.

What production lead time should I plan for?

Qualified simple CNC parts can be ready for dispatch in as few as 3 business days; standard parts without heat treatment are dispatched within 14 business days. Heat-treated parts start from 14 business days, typically about 21. Complex parts requiring heat treatment start from 30 business days. These periods run from drawing approval and technical confirmation to dispatch and exclude transit. Your quotation confirms the schedule for the quantity, material, finish and inspection required.

What inspection records can I request?

Material certificates, dimensional inspection reports, first article records and other agreed quality documents can be provided when specified during quotation. Include the dimensions to report and any first-article or CMM format your team requires.

Can we arrange an NDA before sharing drawings?

Yes. Send your NDA for review before sharing sensitive project files, or ask us for a standard confidentiality agreement.
