Indicate viewing faces, allowed tool marks and acceptance lighting or an agreed appearance sample. “Transparent” does not define every visible edge and machined pocket.

Is the part a clear viewing component or a mechanical PC component?
A clear stock label does not define finished optical quality. Mark the faces that must remain transparent and distinguish cosmetic clarity from an optical specification. Polycarbonate orders are reviewed against the supplied stock grade, geometry and finishing requirements; specific OUJI grade-level evidence has not yet been published here.

Make the drawing ready for review.
Focus on the details that change material purchasing, the machining route and finished-part acceptance.
Cleaning and assembly exposure
Name cleaning agents, adhesives or other exposures that the buyer has specified. Review them against the actual stock grade before agreeing a finishing route.
Threads and stress concentration
Show corner radii, tapped holes and assembly interfaces. If a fastener or interference fit loads a thin section, provide that fit requirement for review.

Will machined clear PC look like a molded optical part?
Not automatically. Machining leaves surface features, and the required viewing faces and finishing acceptance must be defined separately from the base material.
Does a flame-retardant PC label establish my part’s rating?
Check the exact grade and the scope of its documented rating, including thickness and test basis. A generic PC family description is not a certification of the finished assembly.
